For the second year, we’re coming to you directly from our Family Room at Telecare with real stories about real families. This year’s topics are: Surviving the Holocaust, Living with a Disability, Children with Special Needs, and Adoption Options.

Each episode:

  • Focuses on the challenges real-life families are facing
  • Offers resources from leading community organizations
  • Features spiritual reflections of Msgr. James M. McNamara

Last year, you were inspired by the faith and hope of the Belmonte, English, Haubner and Richmond families. This year, we’re pleased to introduce you to the Page, Amaruso, Mooney, Noone and DiMicelli families discussing the challenges they face when dealing with the Holocaust, Living with a Disability, Children with Special Needs, and Adoption. Each episode offers practical information from leading community organizations and incorporates spiritual reflections of Msgr. James M. McNamara.

We encourage you to explore the Family Comes First™ website, learn more about them, interact with them, and share your experiences, but most of all, become more knowledgeable and inspired.

Family Comes First™, season one, is now airing exclusively on Telecare, the television station of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Please visit our site often to see the schedule and airing dates for season two.

The time is always right for family. Family Comes First™ affirms that family and community are the answers. We need each other as we journey together through life.
