Recap: 16th Annual West End Walk For Alzheimer’s & Fall Festival
Russo Law Group, P.C. is a proud sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. (ADRC) 16th Annual West End Walk For Alzheimer’s & Fall Festival!
Last Saturday, September 8th, our staff and friends among other supporters of ADRC joined the walk for Alzheimer’s Disease.
Hundreds of participants, volunteers and vendors turned out for the event. An opening ceremony featured the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Vincent Leo Ragona, Jr., a performance of Let It Go by Elsa from the Royal Family and a presentation of Team Medals lead to the ribbon-cutting to start the walk.
The event took place at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa, NY. After the walk, everyone enjoyed some Italian foods and festivities of the Italian Street Festival including Italian singers and a magician.
Alzheimer’s disease is a growing epidemic and is now the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. As baby boomers age, the number of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease will rapidly escalate, increasing well beyond today’s estimated 5.3 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s, 60,000 of whom live here on Long Island.
For more information, please contact Mary Ann Malack-Ragona, Executive Director/CEO, ADRC at (631) 820-8068 or at [email protected]
We look forward to having you join us again next year!
